TRIPLE CROWN offers experienced baseball and softball instruction for all facets of the game, including tried and true techniques for pitching, hitting, and fielding.
Our instructors provide a unique approach to help students obtain their optimum potential in a respectful and enjoyable atmosphere. The Triple Crown All Stars staff is unified in their approach to ensure that every one of their students is able to achieve their personal best!
IVAN BALBOA
Ivan currently plays collegiate baseball at South Suburban College in South Holland, Illinois. He pitches and plays infield for the Bulldogs during the collegiate season, and then takes his versatile skills to the diamond for the Lake County (IN) Corndogs during the summer. In 2023, Ivan was honored as a Northern League All-Star and played in the 2023 All-Star Game for the East Team.
A 2022 graduate, Ivan was a standout at Hobart High School, pitching and playing at middle infield as a varsity starter all four years of his high school career for the Brickies. Travel teams benefiting from Ivan’s skills in the past are Five Star Great Lakes, Elite Baseball Training, and Hobart Storm.
Ivan’s teaching focus for Triple Crown is hitting and pitching, bringing 12 years of experience to his instruction. This Chicago Cubs enthusiast hopes to give back to the baseball community by helping shape the next generation of upcoming athletes, and emphasizing a love of the game through improved skills for all players with whom he works.

JASON BECKER
Jason Becker is currently the head coach of the Roosevelt University Lakers in Chicago. He is in his 4th year as the Lakers head coach compiling a 79-61 record in his first three seasons. Previously, Becker served as head coach of Robert Morris University Illinois for nine years, where he compiled a 337-238 career record.
Becker is a 1999 graduate of St. Joseph’s College (Ind.), where he helped the Pumas to the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship during his senior season in Rensselaer, Ind. A Division 2 pre-season All-American and a GLVC All-Conference shortstop in 1998 and 1999, Becker is the St. Joseph’s College all-time leader in stolen bases and sacrifice flies. During his junior season with the Pumas, Becker compiled a .498 on-base percentage and swiped 52 bases to set the SJC single-season record.
Becker was named to the NCAA Division II All-Midwest Region Baseball Team in 1998 and 1999. As shortstop, he was also part of the Pumas 1996 and 1999 NCAA Division II World Series teams while competing for St. Joseph’s College. Following his senior season at Bremen High School in Midlothian, Ill., Becker was drafted by Major League Baseball’s New York Yankees in the 54th round of the 1995 June Amateur Draft.
Becker has also served as an instructor for the Chicago White Sox Training Camps and taught for 21 years as a physical education teacher at Jack Hille Middle School in Oak Forest, Ill.

TOMMY FUESSEL
An excellent athlete, Tommy played NCAA Division I football as a wide receiver at Northwestern University in Chicago. After having to medically retire from football, Tommy joined the United Shores Professional Baseball league and played two seasons with the Mammoths. In his first season, he led the team in hitting with the highest batting average, and in his second season led in steals.
In 2018, Tommy became a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports medicine, and is currently studying accounting at Colorado State University’s global campus.

AMY KANIEWSKI
Amy played at the University of Indianapolis from 2019 to 2022, earning her undergraduate degree in entrepreneurship, with a minor in psychology. The 6’1 pitcher was an Academic All-America Scholar Athlete and Academic All-GLVC her last two years at UIndy.
At Munster High School, she is the record holder for lowest ERA and most strike outs. She was All-Northwest Crossroads Conference First Team as both a junior and senior, and finished her perp career with a 2.08 ERA, striking out 303 batters in 231 innings. As a Mustang, Amy was also a member of the National Honor Society, while helping her team to IHSAA 4A Regional and Semi-State appearances in 2016.

JESSICA SCOTT
Jessica played softball for Aurora University for four years, helping the Spartans to appearances in NCAA Division III National Tournament play in 2008 & 2010. She was named 1st team All-Conference for the Northern Athletics Conference, D3 2nd Team All-Region National Fastpitch Coaches Association Great Lakes in 2009 & D3 3rd Team NFCA Great Lakes All-Region in 2010. Jessica recorded the Spartan’s highest batting average in 2009 at a .436 clip on 44 hits for 101 at-bats. She was also named to the CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine District V Academic All-District 2nd team in 2009 & 2010, and was a scholar athlete for the Northern Athletics Conference all 4 years at Aurora University, graduating cum laude with a degree in Athletic Training.
In high school at Crete Monee HS in Illinois, she was named team MVP after two seasons on varsity.
Jessica has coached the Diamond Queens, Triple Crown Bandits, and Triple Crown Angels.
